Her alarm clock went off. She stretches, she yawns, then looks at the ruler that she placed on her pillow the night before to see just how long she had slept. Wow, so many things to do today, she thought. Run errands, do some shopping, look for a new job, I had best be getting a move on. Finally after getting ready she jumped into her little black convertible, put the top down and off she went. She almost broke her neck when she came upon a flashing red light. Then she spotte...

Well, the Iowa caucus is finally over. Now maybe the news people will be able to focus on other news. Guess I was right about Dean not winning in Iowa. I always did think that his popularity would wear off. I don't look for him to win in New Hampshire either. Could be interesting when that caucus gets here. I look for Clark to have a strong showing there in N.H. I don't think that Kerry's win in Iowa will carry much weight with the N.H. people. Its really too bad that Gephardt didn't come out a ...

Michael Jackson appeared in the San Maria Court, in Santa Barbara County, today for arraignment and was imediately reprimanded for being 21 minutes late. The judge, clearly annoyed with Jackson for holding up court proceedings, admonished him that he was indeed starting off on the wrong foot. Jackson's attorneys made their apologies to the court and assured the judge that it would not happen again. About 500 Jackson supporters had arrived at the court house, some as early as 3:00 A.M. ...

NOW PLAYING ON BROADWAY I just recently bought the new dvd of the movie, "Thoroughly Modern Millie." It stars Julie Andrews, Carol Channing, and Mary Tyler Moore. I had went and seen this movie when it was first released in 1967. I really liked it then and have always wanted to add it to my old movies collection. Well it finally arrived after about 5 days later, as I had ordered it online. I sat down and watched it over again after many years. Wow! What a fun movie this is. I guess...

After reading and artical written by Jamie Burnside entitled, "McDonold's Breakfast," (see link below,) it reminded me of a recent experience that I had a few weeks ago when visiting the drive-thru of a McDonalds restaurant. I was on my way to work and also had a co-worker riding along with me. We happened to pull up when there was no line at all, which was nice for a change. No sooner than I could bring my car to a stop, the drive-thru attendant comes over the speaker and says, "go ahead with...

A large rock sets along side of highway 25 in Adair County, Iowa. Young kids use it to spray paint obscenties and other graffiti on it. Until one day, a young local artist by the name of, Ray "Bubba" Sorensen II sees it. He somehow comes up with a brand new vision for the huge stone. So one day he grabbed his paints and headed out to the site of his new art project, between Greenfield and highway 25. The old graffiti rock would never be the same again. Now the rock has become a land mark and n...

Well, I've really heard it all now... A blogger on JoeUser writes that they feel that when a Christian person becomes president in America that they should stop being a Christian. Just how far are they going to take this seperation of church and state thing? Oh and thats not all... They even gave scripture for it. A verse taken from St. Matthew 6:24 is quoted: "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or either he will hold to one, and despise the...

Many Suffer From Depression In today's world, many people suffer from stress and depression. They both go hand in hand too. I myself have had to cope with it on an everyday basis. There are many things that can bring it on too. Sometimes the least little things can set it off. I have talked to my doctor about my...

BAM, IRAN also called, "The City of Mud" Karimi was a very broken man as he stood there in the street holding his small daughter, Nazenine in his arms. The night before, Nazenine had just finished a drawing that she had made for her Papa and he was tucking her into bed for the night when she gave him four kisses. "Why four kisses," Karimi asked her? "Because I might not see you tomorrow Papa," Nazenine answered. Little did tiny Nazenine know just how true her words to her Papa ...

A new report just out states that Saddam did indeed bravely try to defend himself against capture by spitting on a U.S. soldier when he was pulled from his hiding place. The officer then retaliated by promptly striking the opposed dictator with either his fist or the brunt of his gun riffle and knocking him to the ground. One of Saddam's daughters had claimed all along that her father would not have given up without a fight. "They probably drugged him or sprayed him with pepper spray to dis...

I would like to know just what it is about a nativity scene, that when someone drives by in their car and sees it, that it causes them to get all worked up? I don't find the religious symbols of others offensive. It just makes me feel glad to know that other people are celebrating something that makes them happy. I once went to the Greek Orthodox church with my good friend, Nicholas Leonnodis Sarakatasannis. We'll call him Nick for short. Although, I knew ...

1. Look under your car before getting in, and make sure there's no bomb under it. 2. When crossing the street and looking both ways once, look both ways twice. 3. Before driving under an over-pass, look up to see if anyone is getting ready to throw something off. 4. Forget American Express, never leave your home without your bomb sniffing dog. 5. Wear rubber gloves when checking your mail. (Open the lid slowly.) 6. Don't eat at fast food restaurants, there could be undercover ...
